• The Co-Design Maturity Model (2023) is a framework for assessing individual and team capability as well as organisational maturity in co-design. It can be used for awareness-raising, identifying individual skill level and learning needs, assessing team readiness and contextual conditions for co-design, and understanding organisational and sectoral maturity.

  • The Systemic Design Practice Wheel (2021) guides practitioners taking creative and participatory approaches to complex problems. It presents five core domains—principles, place, people, process and practice—that cover the key considerations for working with partners, colleagues and communities on shared challenges.

  • The Co-Design Canvas (2018) was developed for Paper Giant as a way to introduce the key principles of co-design. Adapted from NSWCOSS, these principles are: outcomes-focused, inclusive, participative, respectful, and adaptive.

  • Three lenses to identify various shades of co-design, finding a balance between purism and pragmatism.

    Instead of asking, “but is it co-design?”, these lenses are each a way of asking: “how much co-design is there?”
